Meet the Palma Chino

For years, we’ve received countless requests to make a pair of women’s chinos. As we've shared before, women want the same things as men do from their clothes: comfort, easy care, reliable performance, freedom to move, and… functional pockets! 

I’m as passionate about women’s clothes as men’s, and I gotta say, the options typically available for women really do drive me crazy… so I’m thrilled that we found the right fabric to add chinos to our women’s line.

Meet the Fabric

• 100% technical polyester twill
• Machine washable, line or tumble dry

• Lightweight 5.57 oz per yard fabric

We made sure you get all the performance benefits that make them easy to wear (with minimal care and attention required) without sacrificing the look and feel of traditional chinos.

Our Palma fabric feels like soft cotton and offers comfortable stretch — but it’s actually a great technical polyester that’s lightweight, wrinkle resistant, and quick drying.

These chinos will launch in three muted colors designed to coordinate with the rest of your closet: Light Clay, Olive Leaf, and Toasted Tan.

One of the things that distinguishes our products is our pocketing design. Everyone should be able to put their keys, phone, and money in their pockets — and it drives us crazy that most women’s pants don’t accommodate that.

So for our women’s chinos, we streamlined our everyday carry approach from our men’s chinos to offer women six thoughtfully designed pockets. 

The front two pockets have a jeans-inspired design, with L-shaped pockets that have bar tacks on the pocket ends. 

The right front pocket has a patch inside to fit your phone. However, we also included our signature Bluffworks hidden phone pocket in the waistband. 

The back two welt pockets have concealed zippers, providing security as well as helping keep the pockets from gaping.

Ways to Wear Them

For the overall design, we created a classic chino cut with a slightly tapered leg. These are designed to sit at the natural waist with a 9” rise. 

They’re full length pants and look great that way, but we noticed that the models at our shoot rolled the cuffs up when they first changed into the chinos. Either way you wear them, these chinos look great and dress up or down effortlessly.

Our men’s chinos have been a staple of the Bluffworks line for years, so we’re especially excited to offer women a pair of chinos with all the Bluffworks Benefits — technical fabric, stylish design, and streamlined yet functional pockets.
