Men’s Pants Fit Comparison: Regular vs Tailored vs Slim

When people ask about our pants, the first thing they usually want to know is how to choose the right fit. We get it. You want something that looks sharp, feels good on your body, and can handle a day that moves from travel to work to whatever comes next. 

So we put together a straightforward look at our three fits: Regular, Tailored (while available), and Slim. All of our pants have stretch, and several styles include a stretch waistband for even more comfort. They are all wrinkle resistant, moisture wicking, quick dry, and machine washable. Once you pick your fit, the rest is easy.

Regular Fit

Our Regular fit is a classic straight leg pant. It's comfortable through the seat and thigh, with the most room in the leg of any of our fits.

This is a great choice for guys with muscular builds or anyone who likes more room. It is not a loose fit. We focused on making sure your pant still looks clean and sharp, while giving you a little more space to move.

Tailored Fit

Our Tailored fit began as a way to maintain the room of our Regular fit up top while tapering the leg. The result is a tailored look without feeling tight.

Thousands of guys have worn pants from us in this fit, but as it sits in between our Regular and Slim fits, we are currently phasing it out.

This option remains only while the last units of our Tailored Fit Ascender Chino are in stock.

Slim Fit

Our most modern silhouette, our Slim fit is narrower in the seat, thigh, and ankle. It's slim, NOT skinny. But, does have a slightly shorter rise.

The result is a streamlined look. It's not tight, but it fits closer to the body, so check your measurements if you have larger thighs. (Our stretch performance fabrics help too.)

We moved from our Tailored fit to Slim because it is more consistent with what guys are used to seeing when they buy pants. And, because our Tailored Fit and Regular were a little too close together.

Soon (as in the middle of November, 2025) you will be able to buy our Ascender pant in a Slim fit.

Why you might choose one fit over another

• Regular Fit - Choose this for more comfort and room to move. Typically worn by guys who are more stocky, or who have stronger athletic builds.

• Tailored Fit - Worn by guys who bought this ft form us before, and are searching for the last pairs. 
  
  If you're a Regular fit guy who wants a more tapered leg, you can buy our Regular fit and have the pant tailored at a dry cleaner for just a few dollars.

• Slim Fit - Choose this if you are comfortable with a more modern, closely cut silhouette. Good for anyone who leans toward a streamlined look, and knows our stretch fabric will keep them moving.

Heads-up: Ascender Chino in Slim Fit – Preorder begins mid-November

Our Ascender Chino – already available in Regular Fit and Tailored Fit – will launch in Slim Fit the middle of November, 2025 (as in, just a few days away.)

It has all of the same machine washable, wrinkle resistance, fast dry performance, stretch fabric, comfort waistband, and hidden pockets you love in our Ascender Chino, now available in a Slim fit.
