- How do I care for my Departure Jeans?
- This fabric is made with natural indigo dye so the color may transfer to white and lighter colors. For best results, wash garment inside out with dark colors (or alone). Machine wash warm 104° F (40° C) with like colors, use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry normal or hang dry. Remove promptly. Warm iron if needed.
- How do I ensure my Departure Jeans always look their best?
- Remember to remove immediately from washer and dryer. If needed, warm iron to remove creasing. In case a stain happens, we suggest using a mild dish soap to clean it.
- Can my Departure Jeans be altered?
- Yes, they can be altered as long as your tailor is comfortable working with the material.

I've been a Bluffworks loyalist for more than a decade. Always loved the cut and the subtle stylishness of the jeans, and of course their travel friendliness. This reboot, tho, is pretty duddy -- the regular cut is 2 inches wider at the bottom than the previous generation and just kind of cut "more generously" all around. Luckily (for me, if not for these jeans), my measurements haven't gotten "more generous." So these will be fine for everyday, but the "add a jacket and look sharp at dinner" appeal is gone -- which makes a $100 pair of jeans a lot less appealing.

I’ve worn them for about a week. So far I love the light weight, stretch, and the way the don’t develop that smell jeans get when you don’t wash them for a week or so. I don’t yet know what durability is like, but so far I’m a fan. I bought a second pair.

I have had a couple of pair of Departure jeans over the past couple of years and it was so disappointing that they were unavailable for over 6 months as I wanted to get a couple of more pair. They became available again a couple of months ago so I splurged and stocked up. I tried several other brands of jeans over the past 2 years and Departure jeans are by far the best. The regular fit works well for me, not too loose, not too tight, but flattering. And for overall security when traveling or just about town, I love the side pocket- that is where I carry my wallet and I forget that it is even there because the pants are so comfortable. Many folks have their "go to" jeans- for me, that is Departure jeans. And if you try them and do not like them, BluffWorks return process is exceptionally well designed and easy. I highly recommend Departure jeans.

The jeans were as described and of the same quality that other pants I have purchased. The only thing I wish was different is additional leg lengths. Since they come only in even numbers I need to have each of my purchases re-hemmed. Still worth the effort, however.

These are a perfectly designed and quality-made pair of jeans. Hidden pockets are just that "hidden" and the zippers are smooth. My only suggestion is if you are borderline on a size, then definitely size up. Im an easy comfortable 33" waist and the ones I received are a little tight. I'll be fine but make sure to size up.

I had been looking for some jeans that were stretchy and comfortable enough to wear aboard airplanes, yet stylish to wear with a button down shirt. This departure jeans fit the bill perfectly. I usually wear a 34/32, but ordered a 35/32 because sometimes a 34 waist is just a bit tight. The 35 waist is a tad large, but nothing uncomfortable. I love these jeans!
