Meet the Women’s Como Cardigan Blazer

As a young man, my mother’s sense of fashion and focus on materials always left an impression on me. As a result, I would buy the finest garments I could afford. This meant that every winter I’d go searching for an elegant lightweight sweater with optimistic hopes. But instead, here’s what would happen: I’d pay for beautiful merino wool, wear it 2-3 times, jump through hoops to follow the care instructions (dry clean only), only to have it pill anyway. Give it another year, and I’d do it again.

I thought someone needed to create a beautiful, lightweight knit sweater that would be dressy enough for parties or work functions, but also easy to care for.

Which is why I’m so excited to introduce the Como collection – debuting in a blazer-style cardigan for women and two sweater styles for men. It’s our first venture into wool blends, and the early feedback is that we’ve created something special.

Meet the Fabric

64% polyester, 36% wool
Machine washable, like everything we make
Non-pilling, non-itchy blend
Wrinkle resistant, no iron needed
Four way stretch
Breathable and soft knit fabric

Our Como fabric far exceeded any of the other materials we tested. Built into the heathered blend is a machine washable knit that keeps its shape wash after wash – and resists pilling at the same time. This is a piece that will look great for years.

Some people are cautious around wool. That’s why we tested the Como fabric with people who don’t like to wear wool (including those with sensitive skin) – and no one had an issue with our blend. With a soft hand feel and four-way stretch, the Como makes for a warm yet lightweight layer that you can easily add to your wardrobe.

This is truly a do-it-all piece. We combined the structure and elegance of a blazer with the casual ease of a cardigan to bring together the best of both worlds.

I imagine our customer wearing it on a business trip, packing it for overseas trips (where pockets are key), and reaching for it in moments where the comfort of a favorite piece of clothing pulls the outfit together.

With its technical blend of polyester and natural wool fibers, this is one of the softest, most durable womenswear pieces we’ve ever made. The rolled shawl collar and drop dolman shoulder make it effortless to layer with any piece in your closet.

We packed in tons of functional features as well. With a one button closure, and six pockets, you’ll never feel the need to be weighed down with a purse. This blazer cardigan is ready for anything – which means you’ll be too.

With thoughtful details and high tech features, I'm so excited to introduce this new layering piece as we head into the holiday season (and just in time for gifting).
