Meet the Men’s Como Collection

Before I started Bluffworks, every time I’d buy a lightweight sweater, here’s what would happen: I’d pay for beautiful merino wool, wear it 2-3 times, jump through hoops to follow the care instructions (dry clean only), only to have it pill anyway. Give it another year, and I’d do it again.

I thought someone needed to create a beautiful, lightweight sweater that was nice enough to layer over a dress shirt – or under a blazer – or even look great with chinos or jeans. But no matter what, it needed to be easy to care for.

This is why I’m so excited to introduce the Como collection – debuting in a quarter zip pullover and a drawstring hoodie for men and a blazer-style cardigan for women – in our new signature fabric. It’s our first venture into wool blends, and the early feedback is that we created something special.

Meet the Fabric

64% polyester, 36% wool
Machine washable, like everything we make

Our Como fabric far exceeded any of the other materials we tested. Built into the heathered blend is a machine washable knit that keeps its shape wash after wash – and resists pilling at the same time. This is a piece that will look great for years.

Some people are cautious around wool. That’s why we tested the Como fabric with people who don’t like to wear wool (including those with sensitive skin) - and no one had an issue with our blend. With a soft hand feel and four-way stretch, the Como makes for a warm yet lightweight layer that you can easily add to your wardrobe.

And now, introducing: the Como Quarter Zip Pullover and the Como Zip Up Hoodie.

We brought together form and function to make a pullover with a few tricks up its seams.

With two discreetly placed pockets in each side seam – an easy way to stash your essentials – this pullover has a clean look without sacrificing functionality.

An elevated staple that looks beautiful as a stand alone piece, and is great for layering in the cooler months, this soft quarter zip sweater has an anti-pill nature that supports comfort and multiple washes and wears.

In addition to the refined quarter zip, we wanted to offer a more casual option as well. As it turns out, this full zip hoodie is a great casual staple for layering and a bit of extra warmth.

With excellent stretch, and great recovery, this hoodie is designed so it won’t bag out. You can layer it over a collared shirt or t-shirt, or even under your blazer, for a cozy yet refined look, with extra pockets for carrying the essentials.

Six pockets – including two interior concealed security ones – make this piece more dynamic than a typical hoodie. With two traditional slash pockets in front, two patch pockets in the interior, and two additional zipper pockets inside, you'll have loads of covert and secure ways to stash your devices, wallet, cards, keys, and cash.

With thoughtful details and high tech features, these are two new layering pieces that I’m so excited to announce as we get into the holiday season (and just in time for gifting). Preorders are open now, with a ship date in mid December.
