Once upon a time, I let a friend borrow a linen suit to wear in an outdoor summer wedding. Halfway down the aisle, he was wrinkled all the way through. Ugh.
I’ve long wanted a linen blazer but hate the constant battle against wrinkling. We pushed through years of “that can’t be done” to find a linen-like fabric without the wrinkles.
Introducing the Hopsack Blazer: a better-than-linen casual sport coat that’s ultra lightweight and wrinkle resistant.
For me, the performance is unreal. It’s super light, rolls up small, and feels like a feather on my back. Honestly, it’s almost too good to be true (but it isn’t).
Our Hopsack fabric is lightweight and designed to be wrinkle resistant and resilient thanks to the weave, and it features stretch for comfort. It’s truly able to be packed and worn and look fantastic. Fun fact: we named this casual suit jacket after the weaving method used to make sacks that carried hops (yes, the beer ingredient)… This became known as a “hopsack” fabric, characterized by its open weave, which creates the signature linen texture and feel in our fabric. Designed as a tailored sport coat, our Hopsack Blazer has a slight curve in the sleeve for a more traditional style than a straight sleeve. It also features a single vent in the back. The Hopsack Blazer has a total of 7 pockets: 3 external and 4 internal. The front features a classic welt pocket on the left chest and two patch pockets on either hip. On the inside are two stash pockets on the lower front. A button pocket on the left interior chest and a zippered pocket on the right chest provide secure locations to keep valuables. This jacket is constructed to be light and cool, with a stretch mesh lining in front, butterfly lining in the back, and unlined sleeves.Meet the Fabric
