As much as we love to wear jeans at home, there's a debate: can you wear jeans for travel?
We think the answer is yes, and tha jeans make great travel pants -- when designed appropriately.
Since 2018, Bluffworks has designed jeans that take the classic to the airplane skies, by paying attention to three specific features:
The Fabric
Traditional denim with 100% cotton doesn’t stretch and takes forever to dry (hello, miners, in the 1800s).
Bluffworks’s travel denim incorporates:
- 22% Coolmax polyester to make our jeans wick and dry fast.
- 68% cotton for softness and a classic look and natural feel.
- 9% rayon provides structure and balance.
- And 1% Spandex for stretch.
Our goal was to make a garment that has the performance of technical apparel, but feels like a classic. And, boy, are they satisfying.
Natural and soft. Stretch, but still that denim feel.
Put them on, and I venture you’ll agree…
The Waistband
Here’s a little inside knowledge about apparel design: stretch fabrics require special handling. Make a waistband too stiff, and it digs in. Make it too loose, and your pants won’t stay on.
Our answer is a built-in stretch waistband, reinforced with a unique fusible that delivers the perfect balance of comfort and fit.
