- How do I care for my Hopsack Blazer?
- Machine wash warm 104° F (40° C) inside out, with like colors. Do not bleach. Do not use fabric softener. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Low iron, if needed. Do not dry clean.
- How do I ensure my Hopsack Blazer always looks it's best?
- Remember to remove immediately from washer and dryer. If needed, warm iron to remove creasing. In case a stain happens, we suggest using a mild dish soap to clean it.
- Can my Hopsack Blazer be altered?
- Yes, it can be altered as long as your tailor is comfortable working with the material.

I’m old and for my entire adult life men’s suit and sport coats were supposed to be long enough to cover your rear end. I realize styles have changed and coats have gotten drastically shorter, but that doesn’t mean that the look is flattering. To the contrary, short, tight jackets and pants look ridiculous. Hopefully, I believe this misguided trend is beginning to change. I ordered a long jacket and it was fine through the body, but the sleeves were at least two inches too long and I have a 35 inch sleeve length. In addition, the lapels were too narrow and lacked any structure. I understand that this is intended to be a travel jacket, and it probably does a good job at resisting wrinkling, but it just doesn’t work for me.

The blazer is lightweight, not too warm, doesn't develop creases or wrinkles when properly packed but still looks good when dressed up with a tie unlike many other travel blazers. I also like that it doesn't have shoulder padding so it can be easily worn under a backpack. The downside of having no shoulder padding is that it can fall a little weird depending on your shoulders and can show slight wrinkles on top. If worn with a short sleeve shirt the material can feel a little rough since the sleeves have no lining and the material is coarse (linen-like). The slim fit fits me very well and doesn't hang like a sack on me (i have a 9 inch drop from chest to waist, 135 lbs, 5'8'', size 38 regular)

I was a bit skeptical that this more modern cut would work for me. But when the blazer arrived, I was pleased to find that it fitted very well, and the classic cut has a nipped waist that gives the jacket sufficient shape. I don’t think I would like this cut with a more formal jacket, but it is fine for this unstructured casual blazer.

My new hopsack blazer in midnight navy is just what I was looking for. Because it is lightweight, it packs well for traveling, and its fabric does not wrinkle. I just returned from teaching overseas for 2 weeks. I wore this (both Navy and buff) with a tie every day for 2 weeks to teach. Packed wonderfully. Did not come out wrinkled after 16-24 hours in a suitcase. looked great and easy to manage.
No if only Bluffworks could come up with decent travel socks that can be washed an dry quickly.

I was in need of a casual and low maintenance blazer. The Gramercy and Presidio were a little too formal for what I was looking for right now, and the Telex blue was not quite right. The Hopsack is perfect. Can lean dressy or lean casual. Nice pockets, especially for something so lightweight. Really happy with it.

I was skeptical about the blazer when I first received it, as I had never worn an unstructured jacket. But after wearing it for international travel, a river cruise and a corporate offsite, I'm sold. It's a good weight for wearing at the airport, in transit, and in cool restaurants and conference rooms. It looks great and simply does not wrinkle. All the pockets - perfect. Wallet and passport in the zippered security pocket, phone, keys, reading glasses in others, leaving pockets to spare. Yesterday was the washing machine test, and it passed with flying colors. Washed in warm water, air dried, and only needed minor iron touch up on the sleeve, looks like new. I felt it was just a bit pricey for what it is, but high-end hopsacks sell for $600+, and I know I'm going to get a ton of use out of my Bluffworks Hopsack. For sizing, expect to size up - I'm 5'7", 165 lbs, usually wear a 40 short, had to size up to a 42 short. Customer service was excellent, quick and easy exchange.
