- How do I care for my Departure Jeans?
- This fabric is made with natural indigo dye so the color may transfer to white and lighter colors. For best results, wash garment inside out with dark colors (or alone). Machine wash warm 104° F (40° C) with like colors, use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry normal or hang dry. Remove promptly. Warm iron if needed.
- How do I ensure my Departure Jeans always look their best?
- Remember to remove immediately from washer and dryer. If needed, warm iron to remove creasing. In case a stain happens, we suggest using a mild dish soap to clean it.
- Can my Departure Jeans be altered?
- Yes, they can be altered as long as your tailor is comfortable working with the material.

Bought a pair to replace my only other pair of jeans that were a bit dated. Didn’t plan on wearing them much but I decided I needed at least one pair in my wardrobe.
They fit great and don’t bag out after wearing once. I can wear them multiple times between washing without any issue.
Took them to Mexico a couple weeks ago and loved being able to have my wallet and passport zipped up in the leg pocket. I’m going to Europe for two weeks later this month and I’m 100% taking this with me!

I have had Departure jeans since version 1.0. My wife encouraged me to try Silver jeans, and an article in Esquire persuaded me to try Wrangler Cowboy cut slim jeans. Neither of these were as comfortable as the Departure Jeans, and the Silver jeans did not last. Departure 2.0, which added the phone pocket, turned these jeans into essential wear for me. Now, with Departure 3.0, adding 2 more belt-loops, they have achieved - for me, at least - as close to perfection as jeans can get.

Slim fit without being too skinny. The 35 waist was a little tight, but not so much that I had to go up to a 36.
Phone pocket could be a little deeper, as my I phone 15 plus max won’t fit all the way in length wise. Also the thigh zipper pocket needs to be a little deeper. Nothing major. Just needs a couple of tweaks. Still happy with these jeans.

These lightweight travel jeans are a fantastic addition to any wardrobe! The slim fit strikes the perfect balance, snug without feeling constricted. They've quickly become my go-to for everyday wear. I normally wear Ascender chino and shorts 33x30 and I love them (own 3 different colors in each). I was really excited about this as I wanted a pair of jeans when I travel besides ascender chinos and I had tried pretty much all travel specific jeans on the market and didn’t like any of them or they were way too expensive. These were definitely best out of ones I have tried and I’m keeping them but I do have 3 suggestions. I wish that the pants fabric was little bit more elastic/stretchy to increase comfort. I wish that phone pocket opening was little larger and/or more stretchy so that I can get my phone in and out more easily. I also wish that you removed thigh zippered pocket and find another place for second zippered pocket. I have never found thigh pocket to be useful (ascender shorts also have these). For sizing, I ended up getting 34x30 and I think mainly because of the stiffness of the fabric.

I really wanted these pants to work out, but the fit on them just isn't quite the same as other Bluffworks pants. I got the same size in both the chinos and the 5 pocket pants and while those both fit really well these were just too snug in the crotch and seat. Really nice in the legs though and I enjoyed the design with the pockets and feel of the fabric, just didn't work out for my body type. The return process was smooth and customer service were responsive and intuitive enough to even resend a coupon since I used one for the purchase. I'd buy another pair if they come out with a different fit option or if I suddenly lose some of my...assets...
