- How do I care for my Departure Jeans?
- This fabric is made with natural indigo dye so the color may transfer to white and lighter colors. For best results, wash garment inside out with dark colors (or alone). Machine wash warm 104° F (40° C) with like colors, use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry normal or hang dry. Remove promptly. Warm iron if needed.
- How do I ensure my Departure Jeans always look their best?
- Remember to remove immediately from washer and dryer. If needed, warm iron to remove creasing. In case a stain happens, we suggest using a mild dish soap to clean it.
- Can my Departure Jeans be altered?
- Yes, they can be altered as long as your tailor is comfortable working with the material.

just received them a couple of days ago, very comfortable, more quickly drying the normal jeans, but obviously after such a short while I cannot say how they will hold up during two months of backpacking. I think it'll work fine and all the secret pockets are not in any way visible or distracting in every day where,so I think it was a great buy. would be happy to write a longer review after the trip or during the trip. I have many years of backpacking experience so I do know what clothing has to be able to provide.

The "regular" fit was not available so I ordered the "slim" fit (tailored fit is not an option in this product). The jeans fit well except the waist is a bit tighter than I expected given the product dimensions chart and in comparison to other Bluffworks pants I own with same waist size. All other aspects were as expected. If the "regular" fit becomes available, I will probably also try a pair of those. I am 5'11" and 180lbs.

I always have a hard time buying pants that fit, with my short inseam, not small waist and flat **** I always had to pay for shortening the legs and had excessive fabric billowing around the upper thighs.
The 28” inseam in this style is the perfect length, and the slim fit cut results in a great fit around the ****.(Even though I’m in no way slim, they are not too tight.) Jeans are well made with nice details like a paisley inner fabric pattern.
Love these jeans, bought a second pair. Just wish they made them in black, too.

First brand I've seen in a long time which does not resort to vanity sizing--this is a pleasant surprise. Using the "Find your size" guide may be your best bet. I had to exchange one pair and it was a painless process. Jeans are very comfortable and the side seam zipper pocket is perfect for my cell phone or passport. (Why not have another on the left also even if it increases the price a bit.) The rear "signature Bluffworks pocket" meant for a phone kinda works--dropping the phone in is easy but extracting it is a bit awkward, especially when wearing a belt. Nevertheless, it is a useful idea. The hidden left hip zipper pocket seems useful for an emergency stash of cash or spare credit card. Overall, I recommend this product.

The pants generally met or exceeded my expectations. One problem did occur, though. I bought a pair with a 35 inch waist but it seemed a bit loose. My tailor measured the waist and told me it was a 36, so I had him do an alteration.
