- How do I care for my Departure Jeans?
- This fabric is made with natural indigo dye so the color may transfer to white and lighter colors. For best results, wash garment inside out with dark colors (or alone). Machine wash warm 104° F (40° C) with like colors, use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry normal or hang dry. Remove promptly. Warm iron if needed.
- How do I ensure my Departure Jeans always look their best?
- Remember to remove immediately from washer and dryer. If needed, warm iron to remove creasing. In case a stain happens, we suggest using a mild dish soap to clean it.
- Can my Departure Jeans be altered?
- Yes, they can be altered as long as your tailor is comfortable working with the material.

These jeans are the usual Bluffworks quality, but I did not like the look. There should be some middle ground between "slim fit" (which as I noted in a separate review look and feel too tight in the legs) and "regular fit," which has little if any taper in the legs. I have several other pieces of Bluffworks clothing (T shirts and Ascender Chinos), but returned both the slim fit and regular fit jeans.

Ordered the jeans as described in the sizing guidance. Although it seemed strange, I wear a 34 but ordered a "32". Fits great. Soft fabric that is comfortable to wear and easy to pack. Hidden pockets are just what I wanted. I have a big iPhone and the thigh zipper pocket holds it with no problem. I would highly recommend these jeans.

Met my expectations. Side pocket on right leg works perfectly for me. And it is not as noticeable that I thought it might be. Same feel and comfort as prior versions. I have 2 pairs -black and blue - of generation 2 and one pair first generation. Only blue jeans I need.
Come out with a black version of the generation 3 jeans

I have developed a bit of a Bluffworks collection and these jeans are the latest addition. As with most of their clothing, they fit well, are comfortable and live up to their claims. Having an oversized android phone makes the having the extra phone pockets a great thing. They have been out of stock for quite awhile but the wait was worth it.

Really enjoy the fit and look of the jeans. I especially like how the side zipper pocket holds my phone. It makes it so it's not in the way when sitting or walking.

These jeans, as advertised, have a zip-up compartment which any pick-pocket would be hard pressed to tamper with without drawing attention to himself.
They aren't what I would call stylish. Some might call them Dad jeans. But they accomplish their purpose.

Comfortable and easy to wear. I usually wear a 31 waist, but these are sufficiently flexible that I find a 30 is just right. I do wish there were more options for the lengths- I really need a 33.

Jeans fit great once I ordered the correct size. Unfortunately one of the rear belt loops was missing. Needless to say a belt didn't sit well without the left rear belt loop. Hoping to get a new pair after my return goes through. Have waited months for these to be in stock.

I’m not going to ding Bluffworks, love their stuff and they are delivering exactly what they promise. Stretch jeans, hidden pocket, etc. Love the idea.
I’m 5’10”, 180# our so. I ordered 34/32, this is the size that fits me well on most brands but these pants are huge on me. They fit on my waist slightly loosely but the length is quite long and the legs are not tapered at all, they are straight, a look I don’t really care for so I’m really not sure whether I’ll wear them very often. They fit but not like I prefer.
I’m disappointed in the look- but that’s personal preference, and a bit surprised that they are somewhat oversized (I think) so while I like the idea of saying my jeans are smaller in the waist than other brands, perhaps I can go as low as 32” waist…but more likely 33” will fit better.
Overall, excellent quality, these are quite expensive but I don’t know that I can return/exchange and to be honest…even at $100 it’s not worth my time to package and return and wait for a replacement. If they’d ship replacements to me first with a return envelope…even if I pay for shipping either or both ways, I’d happily do so and perhaps they do (I’ll look) but my suspicion is that it is on me to get this pair back first.
Summary: Great quality. 5’10” and 180#, 34/32 is NOT my size, they are too big both waist and length and the regular style (vs slim) are quite straight/plain/baggy. I prefer tapered and a bit too long.
No idea what slim means, maybe if I’d ordered…
