- How do I care for my Departure Jeans?
- This fabric is made with natural indigo dye so the color may transfer to white and lighter colors. For best results, wash garment inside out with dark colors (or alone). Machine wash warm 104° F (40° C) with like colors, use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry normal or hang dry. Remove promptly. Warm iron if needed.
- How do I ensure my Departure Jeans always look their best?
- Remember to remove immediately from washer and dryer. If needed, warm iron to remove creasing. In case a stain happens, we suggest using a mild dish soap to clean it.
- Can my Departure Jeans be altered?
- Yes, they can be altered as long as your tailor is comfortable working with the material.

I really like these jeans, I typically wear Levi 511's and these sort of compare. The denim is of course lighter weight but more stretchy. I ordered what I wear, 36w/28in Regular Fit and they were too big, reordered 35w/28in Slim Fit, these are MUCH better. Not too slim, I found the regular fit just too loose and baggy, definitely order down in waist size.
I love the leg pocket, it will hold my Pixel 8 with no problem and would probably hold a Pixel Pro, bigger that that would be a problem. Same issue with the hidden back pocket on the right side Pixel is OK, a Pro would probably fit. The other hidden pocket on the left side will swallow a passport in a folder easily. They seem very comfortable, enough so that I would wear them on a plane ride of 7-10 hours.
I bought these jeans for travel but will probably try adding them to my daily wearing rotation. If they hold up I will probably buy another pair.
I do wish they would introduce a a darker wash or perhaps even a black.
My wife jealous, she took one look at them and asked if there was a woman's version. She liked the light denim, stretch and the pockets.

Excellent fabric technology. I bought these for my husband, and we thought they were made of some kind of high-tech denim. Instead, they have the great denim look without the bulk, and travel-ability: stretch, lightweight, moisture-wicking, and plenty of pockets.

I rarely wear jeans because I live where the weather is always nice. My one lone pair of jeans always seemed heavy. These new Bluffworks jeans seem lighter in weight and more like my other Bluffworks clothing. I really haven’t had a chance to wear them but they fit well, even though I bought a size smaller’

This is my 3rd pair of Departure Jeans. The size was as expected and the quality is better than typical store bought jeans. My favorite pocket is the one on the leg for my phone. I would plan to purchase again in the future.

Added the Departure Jeans to my growing Bluffworks collection for a 10 day fall road trip in Colorado. Great fit and function. The denim weight was great for slightly lower temperatures. Zippered security pockets and phone pocket are well designed.
