- How do I care for my Departure Jeans?
- This fabric is made with natural indigo dye so the color may transfer to white and lighter colors. For best results, wash garment inside out with dark colors (or alone). Machine wash warm 104° F (40° C) with like colors, use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry normal or hang dry. Remove promptly. Warm iron if needed.
- How do I ensure my Departure Jeans always look their best?
- Remember to remove immediately from washer and dryer. If needed, warm iron to remove creasing. In case a stain happens, we suggest using a mild dish soap to clean it.
- Can my Departure Jeans be altered?
- Yes, they can be altered as long as your tailor is comfortable working with the material.

One of the most comfortable and best feeling jeans I've every worn. The only challenge is finding the correct waistline. Unlike Bluffworks other pants which run true to size, the jeans seem to run 2 sizes larger. After one wash, the waistline seems to expand slightly. Customer service has been stellar in trying to help figure out the best size. If it weren't for hassle of the repeated exchanges and returns, and the sizing inaccuracies, these would get a true 5 star rating.

I waited almost a year for these to come back in stock and then another few months after I got them to wear in the warm south west. It finally cooled down and I couldn't be more pleased with these jeans. They are soooo comfortable and look to be very durable. Everything I hoped for.

I have two pairs of Bluffworks jeans, one that I've had for several years and a new pair I bought this fall. Both are excellent. The fabric is nice and soft and seems very durable (whereas the other really soft pair I had from another brand proved problematic when a hole formed in the crotch). I like the variety of pockets. I don't use the mobile phone pocket because I prefer to carry my phone in my left back pocket, but that's personal taste. I also found that if I wear a larger belt, pulling my phone from the dedicated pocket is tricky. Setting that aside, though, I love the variety of zippered pockets because they're reassuring in very busy areas like Penn Station in New York or on the Lexington Avenue Express at rush hour. The jeans also hold their color really well in the laundry.
The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that I find that my Bluffworks jeans tend to be warmer than any of my other ones (except for my flannel- and fleece-lined pairs from LL Bean). I suspect it's probably something to do with the fabric blend. When the weather is borderline between jeans weather and shorts weather, I'll often feel too hot wearing either pair of Bluffworks jeans. So that is a minor negative in my mind that maybe warrants a half-star deduction. But the site didn't allow half-stars, so I rounded down.

I have only worn them one time. The material and comfort factor is very good; however, the sizing is not the same as the Ascender and Envoy trousers. The waist seems to be at least two inches larger than the size ordered. I will keep them since they have been washed before wearing, and had no shrinkage from the wash. If I were to buy another pair, I would probably drop a couple of inches for the waist because I do not expect to gain that much weight. Therefore, I will just tighten up my belt when I wear them.

I can't get over how much I like these jeans. The mobile phone fits my Samsung S24 just fine. The zipper pockets are great for everyday and for traveling. The most important thing is that they are really comfortable. I only wish they had a darker color available. Try them!
