- How do I care for my Ascenders?
- Machine wash cold 86° F (30° C) with like colors. Do not bleach. Dry medium heat. Low iron, if needed.
- How do I ensure my Ascenders always look their best?
- Remember to remove immediately from washer and dryer. If needed, warm iron to remove creasing. In case a stain happens, we suggest using a mild dish soap to clean it.
- Can my Ascenders be altered?
- Yes, they can be altered as long as your tailor is comfortable working with the material.

I have two pairs of Ascender Chinos, waist size 34. Since these are Ascender Shorts, I figured the fit would be the same. But, no - it turned out I needed size 35. Now given the extremely flexible exchange policy this didn't turn out to be a problem, but it still is weird.
On the plus side, I like the zipper pocket on the right thigh and wish this were included with the Chinos.

I love Ascender shorts and own them in every color. Unfortunately, the black pair I ordered runs extremely tight compared to the others—so much so that I can’t wear them. It’s disappointing, because the cost of international return shipping makes an exchange unrealistic. I wish sizing consistency was better, especially given how much I enjoy the rest of the line.
