- Machine wash cold 86° F (30° C) with like colors. Do not bleach. Dry medium heat. Low iron, if needed.
- How do I ensure my Ascenders always look their best?
- Remember to remove immediately from washer and dryer. If needed, warm iron to remove creasing. In case a stain happens, we suggest using a mild dish soap to clean it.
- Can my Ascenders be altered?
- Yes, they can be altered as long as your tailor is comfortable working with the material.

Overall these are nice shorts albeit on the expensive side. The price is the main reason why I might not get another pair in a different color. I feel these look nicer that other shorts and I found them comfortable. However, I do wish both pockets had interior zippered secure pockets in them like the pants do and they suffer from the same "crease" issue as the pants. Bluffworks should offer a free clothes steamer when two or more are purchased. I've learned what setting and wet of a towel I need to use to iron the creases out but it can be scary worrying if you will melt your new shorts/pants the first time.
Regarding sizing I needed a 33 inch waist in these shorts instead of the 32 inch I wear in the pants version.

I own three pairs. Wear them constantly. I live in them, basically. I have a few suggestions.
One is to get a better handle on your inventory, because I like a 10-in length and you never seen have them, only the 9-in.
Two, make one of the front pockets zippered. I know there is a zipper on the back pocket but I don't like to carry my phone back there or I can't see it. My son lost his phone to a pickpocket in Buenos Aires so I'm a little paranoid about this. An inside front pocket would be good too.
Three, one of my three pairs - the oldest one - lost the toggle on its zipper so it's a little hard to zip. Not really a problem, and I had been wearing the shorts for years before that happened, but I would rather have a zipper with a toggle.
But I'm picking at nits. The five stars says it all. I would give them six stars if I could.

I’m wearing these now on a trip to the UK and Paris, where it’s hot.
They are comfortable, if cut a bit snug to be “regular” fit. But okay.
I also miss the additional zippered interior pocket on the front left side that’s present in the pants.

I generally avoid anything that is tight and usually wear stuff that me wife feels is too large and baggy for my frame. For me the Ascender shorts are an easy choice when packing when taking a cruise, tour or visiting friends. Great comfortable and easy to dress up or down. Being 6’ tall the 10” length gives a little more flexibility for use at nice dinners as well daily activities. Need more colors restocked!
