- How do I care for my Ascenders?
- Machine wash cold 86° F (30° C) with like colors. Do not bleach. Dry medium heat. Low iron, if needed.
- How do I ensure my Ascenders always look their best?
- Remember to remove immediately from washer and dryer. If needed, warm iron to remove creasing. In case a stain happens, we suggest using a mild dish soap to clean it.
- Can my Ascenders be altered?
- Yes, they can be altered as long as your tailor is comfortable working with the material.

I own three pairs. Wear them constantly. I live in them, basically. I have a few suggestions.
One is to get a better handle on your inventory, because I like a 10-in length and you never seen have them, only the 9-in.
Two, make one of the front pockets zippered. I know there is a zipper on the back pocket but I don't like to carry my phone back there or I can't see it. My son lost his phone to a pickpocket in Buenos Aires so I'm a little paranoid about this. An inside front pocket would be good too.
Three, one of my three pairs - the oldest one - lost the toggle on its zipper so it's a little hard to zip. Not really a problem, and I had been wearing the shorts for years before that happened, but I would rather have a zipper with a toggle.
But I'm picking at nits. The five stars says it all. I would give them six stars if I could.

I’m wearing these now on a trip to the UK and Paris, where it’s hot.
They are comfortable, if cut a bit snug to be “regular” fit. But okay.
I also miss the additional zippered interior pocket on the front left side that’s present in the pants.

I generally avoid anything that is tight and usually wear stuff that me wife feels is too large and baggy for my frame. These pants, despite being well-fitted to me (and my wife agrees), have sufficient stretch to feel comfortable. I like that they look good, don't wrinkle, and are easy to care for while traveling. For me the Ascender shorts are an easy choice when packing when taking a cruise, tour or visiting friends. Great comfortable and easy to dress up or down. Being 6’ tall the 10” length gives a little more flexibility for use at nice dinners as well daily activities. Need more colors restocked!
