- Machine wash cold 86° F (30° C) with like colors. Do not bleach. Dry medium heat. Low iron, if needed.
- How do I ensure my Ascenders always look their best?
- Remember to remove immediately from washer and dryer. If needed, warm iron to remove creasing. In case a stain happens, we suggest using a mild dish soap to clean it.
- Can my Ascenders be altered?
- Yes, they can be altered as long as your tailor is comfortable working with the material.

These are short pants version of the Ascender pants. Same quality and comfort.
Well if you haven't had the Ascender Pants... get them! They are great travel pants.
Reasons why I held 1 star.
1. Like the Ascender pants, the inner pocket stress corners NEED REINFORCEMENT.
2. The Left Inner Pocket Zipper is not the same quality as in the Ascender pants.
It is so small and hard to grip though it is acceptable on the Outside Right thigh pocket.
(Now I have to improvise on the pull tab to make it easier for me to access but not for the
pickpockets).
Us customers hope these issues will be reviewed and improved accordingly.

I like the pants, buying my fourth pair.
The previous two developed a hole in the exact same spot (the top-right corner of the back left pocket, the corner of the internal pocket lining). I suspect that's due to extensive backpack usage. The last pair lasted 9 months.
I understand these things take time to fix, but it would be nice if the future version avoided this.

Picked up these Desert Khaki Ascender Shorts right before our European River Cruise Vacation. They came in particularly helpful due to the extremely hot summer in Europe this year. The shorts were versatile in that I was able to wear them for both dining as well as sightseeing. They are well tailored and very comfortable. This is my fourth purchase, the other three being slacks. For me, Bluffworks make the ideal travel pants/shorts. Fabric that launders easily, no ironing needed, and stretch fabric. The key selling point for me is the inside zippered pockets. These allow me to travel worry-free in high-risk areas world-wide. The pickpockets just can’t get in there without you being aware. Just like my last two pair these are the ultimate shorts. The quality of material and craftsmanship is on par with garments costing much more. The hidden pockets are a must have now that Ive used them. Separation of valuables prevents accidental dropping of items when pulling something else out. The phone pocket fits my iPhone 13 Pro Max easily. The passport pocket easily hold mine. Keeping your items in so many separate pockets makes it very easy to have a “system” of your daily carry without bulging pockets. Im back online today to buy their pants. Another huge benny to me is that they have more waist sizes. eg: I usually have to resort to a 36 but Bluffworks has a 35 which fits me perfectly.
