- Machine wash cold 86° F (30° C) with like colors. Do not bleach. Dry medium heat. Low iron, if needed.
- How do I ensure my Ascenders always look their best?
- Remember to remove immediately from washer and dryer. If needed, warm iron to remove creasing. In case a stain happens, we suggest using a mild dish soap to clean it.
- Can my Ascenders be altered?
- Yes, they can be altered as long as your tailor is comfortable working with the material.

Great everyday wear pant. Plenty of room for wallet, keys, phone, pocket knife. The phone pocket is a touch small for my iPhone 13 Pro Max with case. A dedicated inside knife pocket would be nice.
Still, best easy care pant I’ve owned and great for work.

I found the pants from a several positive reviews online. I was skeptic as reviews are often bias slanted.
This is not the case with these pants. The fit was fantastic and comfortable, which rare for me. I'm a bicyclist and often the pant legs are too tight and bind. The material stretches without looking like "leggings" and the design of the crotch increases the mobility comfort.
The pocket design is perfect for protecting valuables and keeps the "budges" from wallet, passport and phone neatly hidden. Plus the secure zippers require intentional access, they can't just be casually accessed and opened.
They are quick dry and easy cleaning. As a test I wore them for 3 days, then washed them in the bathroom sink, hung them off the shower head before bed. The next morning they dry and a quick shake and they returned to their proper shape and wrinkle free. Perfect for travel!!

I own several pairs of Ascender Slacks and love the way they wear. I gave 3 stars for two reasons. The zippered pocket inside the right pocket is extremely difficult to open without using 2 hands to hold the main pocket down. That's good to keep pickpockets out, but makes it virtually useless. The second problem relates to staining. I brushed against my car tire which left black rubber streaks on the upper leg. I washed it twice per instructions without effect. Because of the material, the pants are not to be dry cleaned. Now I have a nearly brand new pair of $125 slacks that are trashed. Of course there is no Patagonia type replacement policy. My fault my problem my lesson.

I have purchased these chinos, and only these chinos, now for 7 years. The only rare reason to discard them has been rips incurred from various adventures, of which there have been many. Let me be clear. I am an attorney. I have worn these chinos for years both in court and on mountainsides. While camping and while suffering in courtrooms. I have been challenged to try other technical pants by friends touting the newest additions from the most major outdoor brands with the slickest marketing campaigns. I have accepted the challenges. None are as versatile. None even come close. Try wearing those brands with a blazer and tie. Nope. End your search. This is your brand to support to the death. It's Bluffworks. Period. You heard me.

Over all these seem well designed for the purpose. Construction seems well done.
So far I am just wearing them around the house and town to see how I like them and how well they work. I haven't gone traveling yet.
I rinsed these out in a sink and hung them up to dry like I might traveling, They dried quickly with almost no wrinkles. I like the look of the material but I think a slightly heavier material would look/feel even better without sacrificing much in the way of quick drying. (I have a pair of wrinkle free Hagger travel pants with slightly heavier 60/40 material that doesn't take a lot longer to dry. No secure pockets though)
I like the way they fit, although I went with trim fit and whatever I have in my pockets, like phone and keys, seem to stand out. Perhaps regular fit would have alleviated some of that.
I like that you can get them with a 28" inseam, fits me better. Often the best I can do is 30" which is too long for me. I have short legs compared to my torso. If my legs were proportional to my torso I would probably have a 30" inseam and a total height of 5' 8" or so.
Lots of secure pockets. I don't know if I need that many but I'll find out in a couple of weeks. Better to have extras than not enough.
I think I am going to be happy with these travel chinos.
