- Machine wash cold 86° F (30° C) with like colors. Do not bleach. Dry medium heat. Low iron, if needed.
- How do I ensure my Ascenders always look their best?
- Remember to remove immediately from washer and dryer. If needed, warm iron to remove creasing. In case a stain happens, we suggest using a mild dish soap to clean it.
- Can my Ascenders be altered?
- Yes, they can be altered as long as your tailor is comfortable working with the material.

Some years ago I bought an earlier version of the Ascender series. It was very good, but I've got to say that the latest version, the Ascender Chino, is a huge improvement. As always, the fabric used is light, comfortable, washes in a sink, line dries in hours and looks like it just came from the dry cleaners. Great for travel, but equally great at home as a dress pant. Sizing is accurate. If you usually wear a 34 x 34, the Ascender Chinos in 34 x 34 will fit perfectly. No shrinkage when washed and dried, either. The biggest improvement over the older Ascender series is in the number and size of zippered pockets. There now are three, all easily big enough to hold wallets, cell phones and passports, two of which are down inside the front, unzippered pockets. The zip direction on these is downward for closed, which requires a pickpocket to reach into your pocket and zip upward to access the contents. No possible. The third pocket is on the backside and zippers horizontally. Not as secure as the other two, but useful for less critical storage. I now own four pairs, one in every color except "Midnight Navy" which is really just black - don't bother, buy black. Bottom line, great pants for travel. Great pants for home. Can't recommend them (and other Bluffworks products) highly enough!

I have gradually replaced my regular chinos with the Buffworks Ascender Chinos. There is no more secure way to protect your wallet, and to prevent the accidental loss of AirPods, keys etc then the two front zippered pockets. The fabric and construction are both excellent. I originally acquired them for travel, but use them daily in and around town. I wash them I’m a washing machine and hang to dry. They really do not require Ironing.

The tailored fit was just right for me. I did not want a 'skinny' fit, and the tailored looked and felt just right. I bought 3 different colors in this style and wore each pair 3-4 times during a holiday in London and Paris. The weather was 55F - 85F and I never felt hot or cold, they seemed like the perfect weight. And the slight stretch and lightweight fabric was a welcome change from denim or cotton.
I washed them before wearing, and they had creases from packing that did not come out in the dryer. I had to borrow my wife's hand steamer to get the creases out. But wearing them every day, they remained wrinkle free and still looked nice for our late night dinners. The front pockets had a zippered pocket within a pocket, and I used this hidden pocket for my money clip when on subways. The only negative thing I can think of is that these hidden pocket zippers are not completely out of the way when zippered shut. When not used and sippered shut, the small zipper pulls stick out slightly and I was always worried they would scratch my phone screen.

I traveled for 2 1/2 weeks with a pair of Ascender Chinos regular fit & a pair of Lululemon ABC classic fit pants in WovenAir fabric. Both pants were comfortable, easy wash, quick dry, and had a versatile "slightly dressy" look.
In comparison, the Ascender Chinos stood out because: 1) They have zip pockets behind both front pockets as well as one rear zip pocket. (Lululemon has one front zip pocket and 2 rear snap pockets.) 2) The phone pocket above the right rear pocket of the Ascender Chinos is handy - but not good around pick pockets.
One minor flaw: Coins in the right front non-zip pocket routinely fell out when I sat down. Making sure coins rode in the small pocket which is inside the non-zip right front pocket solved that problem.

I have posted a review before, but am happy to post again for these wonderful slacks. I bought them initially for my husband and they quickly became his favorites. I couldn't be left out, so I bought some for me. Now both of us in the household count them as our favorite pants. As a woman, I am thrilled to find slacks that have real pockets, as these do in abundance.
